Precious.Collective has evolved organically since November 2017 into a collective of over 450 makers from around the globe.

What binds Precious members together is their ambiguous relationship to notions of what ‘precious’ is. Makers who wish to become part of this group either follow this line of thinking or work in ways that challenge traditional jewellery making through materials, techniques or concepts.

A celebration of Art Jewellery; showcasing this art form to new audiences.
The building of a community through networking and creating opportunities for dialogue between makers and countries.

Precious provides …
Support and sharing of ideas and knowledge.
Opportunities to makers at all stages of their jewellery career.
Regularly creates openings for makers to exhibit at exhibitions, venues and events that may not normally be financially viable or even possible on a personal level.

Since its birth in 2017 Precious has held 7 physical international exhibitions, participated in 2 on-line exhibitions, held its own on-line Jewellery week (2021) and has plans in place to exhibit in 4 shows in the next 5 months … so a very busy collective of amazing makers.

In order for Precious to grow and continue to flourish it is intended that Precious should continue to be agile, fluid, dynamic, energetic, open minded and flexible … It also hopes to always continue with free membership for all.
